Multiple open-rank/tenure-track faculty

Location:  Atlanta, GA

Department Information: The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University has a student body of 1,200 undergraduates, 260 graduate students, and 70 primary and 73 program faculty. In 2023 US News ranked the department the #1 ranked department in BME in the United States. Since its beginning, the unique partnership between two of the nation's leading public and private entities has been an innovation engine for research and education. Combining the engineering and medical strengths at Georgia Tech and Emory, we are focused on solving some of the toughest problems facing our state, the nation, and the world. We are a diverse and international community of faculty, students and staff who promote equity, diversity, and inclusion on our campuses.

Georgia Tech is a top-ranked public research university situated in the heart of Atlanta, a diverse and vibrant city with great economic and cultural strengths. Georgia Tech prides itself on its technology resources, collaborations, high-quality student body, and its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Diversity is one of Georgia Tech's greatest strengths and one of the major priorities identified in our strategic plan. We believe that diversity includes the individual differences among people from differing social, racial, or ethnic backgrounds, gender, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, economic circumstances, person characteristics, philosophical outlooks, life experiences, perspectives, beliefs, expectations, physical abilities, and aspirations. Each of these characteristics, both singularly and in combination, contribute to the richness of the Georgia Tech community. Georgia Tech has policies to promote a healthy work-life balance and is aware that attracting faculty may require meeting the needs of two careers.
