Mouse Models

Research into the causes and possible therapies of atherosclerosis implies the use and development of animal models. To study the progression of vascular remodeling, our lab uses the carotid injury flow cessation model in wild type and knockout mice. We also use the hindlimb ischemia model to study angiogenesis in mice. All animal interventions are done in accordance with protocols approved by the Emory Animal Care and Use Committee.
