Probe Development for the Analysis and Early Detection of Cancer

Two postodoctoral fellow positions are available in the areas of cancer biology, biochemistry and molecular imaging in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University. The Bao lab has on-going projects sponsored by the National Cancer Institute at NIH to develop nanotechnologies for the analysis and early detection of cancer. These technologies include dual FRET molecular beacons, peptide-linked molecular beacons and magnetic nanoparticle based probes. Candidates should have a PhD in cell biology, biochemistry, bioengineering or a related field, with demonstrated experience in cancer research or contrast agent development.
