BME Hosts Celebration
Commemorating A Decade of Progress, Innovation and
Success In Biomedical Engineering Education and
Research
More than 200 faculty, staff, alumni and VIPs gathered
April 22 and 23 in Atlanta to celebrate the 10th
Anniversary of the Wallace H. Coulter Department
of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory
University. The event reunited the faculty, staff,
students and benefactors who laid the foundation
for what would become one of the nation’s most highly
regarded BME programs. The symposium featured speakers
who offered their perspectives on the department’s
history and discussed the latest developments and
the future of biomedical engineering. BME Department
Chair Larry McIntire closed the symposium with a
look at where the department is headed in the years
to come. Special thanks to all those who worked
hard to make the event such a success. |
